Project Site Manager – New Building Construction

A quality candidate should have at least 5 years of on-job experience in a verifiable residential single-family construction project. Ideally, the candidate should also possess managerial skills acquired while working under a contractor, construction manager, or another expert in the construction industry. Previous experience as a contractor, architect, or engineer in a construction project is a plus. In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, building and safety compliance, and sound financial estimation skills are a must.

We have a new opening for a Project Site Manager with a strong background in HERS & LEED experience being a plus.

 

Responsibilities and Duties

 

• Plan and supervise a wide range of construction projects from start to finish.

• The candidate will organize and oversee construction procedures and ensure they are completed promptly and efficiently.

• Must be well-versed in all construction methodologies and procedures and able to coordinate a team of professionals of different disciplines to achieve the best results.

• The ideal candidate will have an analytical mind and great organizational skills.

• Ensure all projects are delivered on time according to requirements and without

       exceeding budget.

• Comply with safety and building codes as well as legal requirements.

• Report project progress and budget to the management team.

• Prepare budget and cost estimates, along with work timetables.

• Great customer service skills to be in constant contact with the public, inspectors, and owners, etc.

• Leadership skills in a managerial role to oversee delegating tasks to workers, subcontractors, and other lower-level workers on site.

• Knowledge of the DFW local building authorities.

 

Qualifications and Skills

 

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Good interpersonal and supervisory skills

• Solid grasp of building compliance and safety regulations

• Excellent analytical skills

• Knowledge of basic accounting procedures including making financial projections

• Decision-making skills

• Ability to work under pressure and according to deadlines

• Applicants should have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in construction, architecture, engineering, or a related field to be considered for this job

• A master’s degree in a construction-related concentration is preferred, but not required

 

Priority is often given to candidates with project management or construction management certifications, especially a Certified Construction Manager (CCM) with HERS & LEED certifications.

 

Salary and Benefits

 

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

 

Salary: From $67,823 to $83,450 per year plus sign-on bonus to include benefits package.
